A Good Friday masterpiece.

Not like the works of the great masters hanging in the Louvre or Uffizi-- visited to be gazed at for pleasure: this piece inspires far beyond that sort of art.

Typical of the author, its rawness forces us to face the truth of what our own sin has wrought; what our Lord suffered to redeem us from the terrible consequences of being eternally separated from Him; the relationship that this indescribable sacrifice should give us with Him now.

It was my sin that held him there, but also his love for me. Thankyou Jesus, what a Saviour and Lord of Lords.

How can I ever thank you enough, but I will when I see my Lord and God face to face one day! Praise you 🙌 🙏
